This extension allows users to create and utilize templates for issue descriptions and comments in JIRA Cloud instances. With the ability to manage up to four description templates, it is a valuable tool for streamlining repetitive tasks.
The templates are processed and stored in cookies within the browser, making it easy to install and use. The extension also offers a powerful new feature, Templates by Project, which eliminates the need for Jira Admin intervention. By creating a ticket in a project with a summary of "TEMPLATE:IssueTypeName" (e.g., "TEMPLATE:Bug"), the system will automatically use the description of the ticket for the next created bugs. Users can also define a "TEMPLATE:Default" summary to apply to other issue types.
